Tooth cracked? Pain keeping you up? That stuff hits fast, and it’s hard to think straight when you’re hurting.
Immediate Dental Center is on Kentucky Ave in Indianapolis, and we’re set up for one thing: urgent dental problems. We’re open 7 days a week, and we often have same-day availability.
In pain right now? Call us. We’ll talk through what’s going on and get you seen as soon as possible.
When you call, we’ll ask a couple quick questions so we can help fast, like where it hurts, whether there’s swelling, and what’s been going on.
At your visit, we’ll do an exam and use digital x-rays if we need a closer look. Then we’ll walk you through options and focus on relief first.
If a tooth breaks or cracks, it can go from “annoying” to “unbearable” fast. We’ll check the damage and help protect the tooth so it doesn’t get worse.
If the inside of the tooth is inflamed and causing pain, this can be part of getting things under control. We’ll walk you through it in plain language.
Swelling matters. A lot. We’ll figure out what’s causing it and talk through the quickest way to calm things down.
If a tooth can’t be saved, we’ll tell you straight and explain why. Extractions aren’t fun, but sometimes they’re the cleanest way to stop pain and prevent bigger problems.
When a crown or filling pops out, the tooth underneath can feel sharp, raw, or super sensitive. We can protect the area and get you comfortable again.
For more involved emergency cases, we’ll explain your options clearly so you’re not guessing.
If an abscess is behind the swelling, drainage can bring real relief. We’ll explain what we’re seeing before anything starts.
If the nerve is involved but the tooth can be saved, a root canal can get you out of pain without losing the tooth. We’ll talk you through the steps and what recovery usually feels like.
We’ll ask a couple quick questions and get you in as soon as we can.
We treat the stuff that tends to show up suddenly and hurt like it means it.

When you come in for an emergency visit, you’ll be seen by Dr. John Keller.
Dr. Keller is a graduate of the IU School of Dentistry. He’s a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society.

It can be. If you have swelling, fever, a bad taste, or pain that keeps ramping up, call.
Call right away. If you’re having trouble breathing or swallowing, go to the ER.
Often, yes. The fastest way to know is to call.
Call first if you can. It helps us get you in faster.
It depends on what you need (exam, x-rays, treatment). We’ll talk through cost once we know what’s going on.
Cold compress for swelling, avoid chewing on that side, and use OTC pain meds as directed. Don’t put aspirin directly on your gums.
If a tooth is cracked, chipped, or broken, it’s worth calling as soon as you can. Even small breaks can turn into bigger pain fast. Try not to chew on that side, and if you have the piece, bring it with you.
Call us. A lost crown or filling can leave the tooth sensitive and easy to damage. Keep the area clean, avoid sticky or hard foods on that side, and we’ll help protect the tooth and get you comfortable again.
Yes, we work with many PPO plans. Bring your insurance card and we’ll check your benefits and walk you through what’s covered before treatment starts.
